No kidding, that thing is fucking relentless.
No kidding, that thing is fucking relentless.
Yeah, that sounds about right to me.
There are some great beats here, no doubt. But every time Jay gets on the mic, it's like finding out your uncle who all this time you thought was just goofy and fun is really an alcoholic. I'm a huge Jay fan and I hate this album. Maybe some other dudes will use these beats on mixtapes and do something nice with it.
Didn't expect to see this comment on this review on this website. Shocked. Wowsers
Holy shit hahahahahah
I wasn't a goth but also listened to it religiously in high school. I didn't think there was a sample either, couldn't hear one.
“Do you wanna die!?” The Toadies. That’s one of the best rock ’n’ roll singles ever.
I'm with Clay Shirky — most people waste so much time watching TV (ahem) that stuff like Wikipedia is a drop in the bucket, except that that bucket is itself a drop in the actual bucket.
I thought it was pretty hard to tell in the first episode as well. I mean, she was really selling "let's talk about literally any other topic". But then, I'm totally dumb.
I've only heard the PFT/Scott Aukerman one, but holy shit, it's so good. I still listen to it every once in a while, Clock Soccermom is so good as "Benny B".
Saaaaame
Totally.
"I joke about this song all the time because I live in New York now, and New York has a lot of bodegas, but I call them 'Lou Begas.' Like, 'I’m going to stop by the Lou Bega and grab myself a little mambo drink.' Maybe a 'Mambo No. Beer.'"
I'm only on the first song but… this sort of thing isn't really what people are talking about when they say "banger".
"Lig-a lick a licky ligga Lawndale!"
Not "good" meaning "good" but "good" meaning "not that good".
I don't think Patton would do it, and honestly, haven't we white males had a good run with the whole late-night thing?
Pfffff. Real edgy there, Skiba.
"Rolling", am I right?
I know, it's like his whole basis for evaluating music is off. Maybe he spent so long making weird shit that the weird shit turned normal and vice versa.
