I was really holding out for Haneke to direct X Men: First Class.

Predator
Every line in that film is a stroke of genius. As much as I'm looking forward to Predators, I highly doubt it will have half as much quotable dialogue…
"So why do you need us?"
"Because some damn fool accused you of being the best!"

Blows my mind a film that looks as generic and unfunny as Grown Ups can open to $41 million.

I think the Cruiser's leading man days are numbered…
If Knight and Day was released five or six years ago it would have doubled its gross no question. People are now quite comfortable hating Tom Cruise…

I honestly think the first flick is pretty decent…
… and the second has the occasional funny moment. This looks nothing short of razoring your eyeballs painful.
Wonder what "whacky" explanation they'll have for Dustin Hoffman's character not appearing?

Green Zone
Enjoyed it far more than I expected (and was quite surprised at the mediocre reviews it attracted). It was tense, compelling, very well made. Are people really that turned off at seeing a film set in Iraq?

Why do so many people give a shit about this guy?

John Dahl has made some pretty awesome films actually (Red Rock West and Last Seduction were both great, character driven thrillers). What happened to the guy? Did he not pay his DGA fees or something?

Agreed with Snugglesaurus. RTD still managed the occasional gem (Midnight) but his insistence at presenting the Doctor as some messiah like figure pissed me off no end (see the ending of Season 3, the Doctor picking up the Olympic torch, etc.).
It's a shame this has been a low rating season as I think it's the best…
