Doc Hammer episodes with great premises (The Revenge Society, Halloween Special) have the unfortunate tendency to sometimes collapse under their weight- this episode not only managed to exceed expectations, but consistently surprise as well. A perfect 'A'.

Same thing I said to my fellow Venture obsessed friend during the episode- does this mean Iggy Pop, Klaus Nomi, Brian Eno, et. al aren't part of the Guild as well?

Conversely, it's the three seasons of Justified that hold me over for every one Venture Bros.

Think nothing of it, @avclub-90d7348fce3c310aa923fc635bf7170f:disqus, you're in for a treat.

It was a Garth Ennis war book- did you expect anything less?

Am I the only one who was surprised by Lucky's reaction to her later? I get, y'know, dogs and all, but damn if that panel didn't sell the interpersonal dog drama.

Enjoy!

Although I'm avoiding reading this article or the comments until I pick this issue up next week, just thought I'd chime in and say that Matt Fraction's Marvel work is, at least once Batman Inc. ends in two months, the last bastion of superhero comics I'm picking up from the big two.

Gorillaz-Unofficial used to be one of my old stomping grounds, neat to see 'em getting a shout out here. As far as I can recall, this is the first Blur-related scoop they've gotten, but there was a bunch of Gorillaz stuff (info on Plastic Beach 2, the cancellation of further tour dates and the Rhinestone Eyes video in

Sounds like you could use someone you really love!

Along that same line, I thoroughly enjoyed Liotta's performance in the film- same way Gandolfini's character could be said to be a dark reflection of Tony Soprano, I feel like Liotta's character could easily be Henry Hill, had he stayed with the mob and merely faded into obscurity.

The entire second half of "What Goes Down, Must Come Up" (this commenter's favorite episode) has Pete sans Billy.

Not anymore- in the interviews leading up to the premiere, Jackson said that they pushed it back to after Season 6, as to not have another two and a half year-long wait again.

@avclub-8b14f79688c0146367914b8240be4128:disqus, oh yeah, definitely, but I really saw it as being neither here nor there- I just enjoyed the mere fact that it existed.

And with the New 52, you get more opportunities for disappointment than ever! Think of the possibilities!

Really? I hated that episode- I was all psyched for a Cadmus follow-up with J.K. Simmons as a hideous Hulk-monster, but all we got was an extended fight scene with shitty one-liners. Meh.

My roommate and I made it ritual to catch the last five minutes of Anger Management out of context while waiting for Archer to start- pretty sure we caught Selma Blair in a role playing costume. So, you know, that's something

Agreed. I felt S3 of JLU was weaker as a whole, but The Great Brain Robbery more than justifies it's existence.

I couldn't help but have a big ass grin on my face during it- the grain, the models, I personally loved it.

Nah, I genuinely appreciated it. Writing just comes naturally to me, but the technicals slip my mind from time to time.
