And a pretty lovely one.
And a pretty lovely one.
I have no words, I'm just so incredibly happy for this. This really deserves a proper adaptation, such a wonderful trilogy.
I for one would love to see this green-lit.
The sounds the Kaiju made you mean. But also thrilling in a way.
What the fuck?
Yeah, he was very sweet through the whole thing.
Yeah, I agree.
You definitely should, Naomi Watts is great too, and even if some say the American version is pointless, it's nice comparing the two. Ulrich Muhe was indeed great in the original, a pity he died after Lives of Others, he could've had a great transition in Hollywood movies. (I love Lives of Others, that sappy ending…
There were several, some with a friend of his. They were pretty fun though. In one episode, he was somewhere in Africa, and some kids recognized him as Obi-Wan Kenobi.
So this is like Ewan McGregor and those shows he used to do, motorcycling around the world.
Well, it wouldn't be the AVC if someone didn't take one of these 'thinkpieces' personally and made a scene. I find it reassuring in a way.
I liked Cabin in the Woods well enough, but I agree, comparing it to Scary Movie is an awful thing. Comparing any movie with Scary Movie is. That movie is so shitty.
I love Haneke too, especially The White Ribbon (gorgeous cinematography) and Amour. I preferred the US version of Funny Games though, I thought Michael Pitt was creepier than the guy from the German version. Cache though, I have to rewatch that, it went completely over my head.
Yeah, I remember the long leatheary coats in Equilibrium. Maybe I'll rewatch it so I can see how it compares. At the very least I'll have a laugh. And I liked The Machinist, I was very upset by it though.
And it's such a pity because I think Juno Temple is a great young actress, and could do a wonderful job in the right role.
I suppose I should read this book at some point. I wasn't a big fan of vampires, but after Only Lovers Left Alive I warmed up to them.
I want to be excited for this, but I just can't. I really like Birgitte Hjort Sørensen, but it seems to me Terence Winter just keeps recycling the same ideas, themes and character typologies.
Oh, Christian Bale has worse movies than that. Reign of Fire and Equilibrium come to mind. This last one though, it's been a long time since I've seen it.
I hope he's still working on that, I really wanted to see it.
This sounds like such a charming, sweet little film.
