Exactly. She's one tremendous actress, surely she should've won for something more substantial.

Ugh, Season of the Witch was such a waste. Stupid movie.

I liked even that, especially Angelique. God, I adore this show.

Straight to the top of the list it goes! I do like a laugh.

Yeah, of course it is, and there are only 20 episodes so far.

I haven't seen the 'The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen' but I can guarantee anyway it's nothing like that. It's got an amazing acting ensemble, stunning cinematography, costume and set design, it's just lovely on every level. I might just love it a bit too much.

Watch Penny Dreadful. You don't what you're missing. Season 2 in particular was spectacular.

Yeah, 2014 movie. Harry Treadaway from Penny Dreadful is in it too.

Watch Honeymoon for a gorgeous Rose Leslie. A nice little horror, superbly acted.

Yakuza Apocalypse sounds like the craziest thing. I'm going to watch it.

Eh, Judi Dench won an Oscar for Shakespeare in Love and she was 8 minutes in it.

Ah, The Hour. That show deserved a proper ending.

This is the best news I've heard all week. It seems almost too good to be true.

Right there with you on Harakiri, pretty spectacular movie, but Kwaidan is remarkable also, so gorgeous and otherworldly. I've seen it a little while ago, watch it as early as you can.

Recommend me some of the classics. I'd like to watch some after my Kurosawa marathon, if I find them.

Unfortunately I haven't seen a Hou movie on a big screen, but by some miracle this is available this year. I hope I'll make it. And that naturalism you mention I think will be a fresh spin on the genre (I'm familiar with the new movies, not so much with the old, and all that flying around gets a bit weird after a

Well, most YA dystopia novels revolve on the "chosen one" narrative, and some even have a messianic crazy tinge to them, so maybe that's what made them so appealing to insecure teenagers. Straight horror doesn't rely on that as much.
