Yes, but also I think that its idiosyncracy is a very good way to underline the time of great discovery and technology leaps in medicine the show is depicting. Amazing show.

To be fair, Frank was great because of Michael Fassbender's wonderful performance. I don't think it would have worked at all without him. And as much as I think Brendan Gleeson is one of the most gifted actors ever, Domnhall Gleeson is kind of meh.

That's also what appeals to me, the nostalgia and poetry of his films.

I sometimes wonder how the hell people managed to fight wars in medieval Europe considering the heavy, bulky armor and the blocks of iron they called swords. Those poor horses in cavarlies.

It was about time someone made another wuxia movie worth watching. And a Hou movie is always an event for me, his sensibilities are just on the same wavelenght as mine. Someone should restore his movies, they all look so gorgeous and is such a pity you just can't a decent copy anywhere. What I wouldn't do for Flowers

Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu made a career out of it.

Watching season 2 I kept waiting and waiting for something interesting to happen and then it just ended. They tied it up with a pretty bow, a baby, just like a telenovela. At least Kelly Reilly was really great.

This is not that encouraging, but I still want to watch this. Fukunaga and Idris Elba pairing for a movie should have been extraordinary. I still think Fukunaga has a masterpiece in him, and someone should just give Elba a movie worthy of his talents already.

So when will season 2 start? I loved the first season and Clive Owen did a splendid job. One of the best period dramas airing now. And that soundtrack!

This is the one Rian Johnson is directing? I might watch it for that. Gugu Mbatha-Raw is a great choice, but Tatiana Maslany though.

Yeah, you have a point.

After all the gushing love for this movie here in the comments I've decided to watch this movie, even though I hate musicals. Maybe this will be the one that changes my views on them.

Using Helen's and Cole's perspectives is a wonderful development. Maura Tierney acquitted herself better than Joshua Jackson in the first season, who came across as a frowny clutz most of the time. I'm excited to see how they'll flesh out their characters.

I loved the first season so this A- review is great news.

Evan Peters is Quicksilver now, so with a bit of luck he'll get away soon.

Oh come on, who can blame the man for making some easy money in his old age.

Samantha Morton was so good in the movie, I think she's the best actress of her generation, but so unlucky. What is she doing these days?

I think we're well past ignorant at this point, and far into idiot land.

Yeah she was, and after Rose and Martha, she really felt like a huge breath of fresh air.

Oh come on, they're not appallingly stupid episodes, Doctor Who has had far worse episodes than those. I love them both for their craziness.
