Yes! I love, love Donna. Someone like her would be great with Capaldi, just think of the sarcastic verbal sparring that would ensue.

Oh, Clara is leaving. Maybe they'll get the Doctor a companion that isn't a gorgeous very young woman this time. Two companions would be nice.

The Sky Trembles And The Earth Is Afraid And The Two Eyes Are Not Brothers (Grade: B-) works in that now-familiar palette of natural landscapes, rituals, and enigmatic violence.

Cillian Murphy is drop-dead gorgeous as a man, woman or goddamn alien.

Do not bother with Lord of War. Lovely post, I often find myself wondering the same thing.

My favourite dog growing up was named after Pinky. He died a horrible death, poor thing.

You can trace info through Disqus? I just can feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. What sort of info?

Yes, you should!

I must rewatch the movie, it's been a long time, I'll have a keener eye for class critique now.

It's really wonderful, and Rachel Weisz gives the best performance of her career.

Yeah, I agree about Jarmusch, you have to be in the mood for him, that's why I don't like Dead Man. The other three movies I mentioned are also mood pieces, very slow-burning and atmospheric, with Chungking Express being a bit more vivacious.

Keeping the leads separated worked for me, I was rooting for the lovelorn policeman anyway. Tragic love stories are the best, aren't they?

I thought Ain't them Bodies Saints was pretty fantastic, but the Malickian influences were obvious all over the movie, and I love Malick's movies so that might have influenced my opinion.

We already have the Predator guy, once is fun, twice the same gimmick is just lazy.

Watch Kon's other movies as soon as you can. They are incredible.

I have the exact same morbid fascination. I watched a lot of dreadful movies because of it. I think Last Night (1998 Canadian movie), Melancholia, Haneke's Time of the Wolf, Children of Men, even The Road are wonderful end of the world movies. I like The Leftovers for the same reason.

I am so sorry for your loss and about your grandfather, ICP. Lots of hugs your way.

What drink will Mireille Enos' character prefer? I think it's whiskey's turn.

Thanks for the recommendations. :)

Well, your male friends are assholes by the sound of it. Carry on talking about feminism.
