I remember enjoying the forklift minigame in Shenmue, but that was 15 years ago. Also it was your job and you needed money; how you did determined how much money you made (again, I think, it's been a long time). In GTA I could see it being infuriating because there are plenty of other ways to make money.

I also watched this on mute with my own music playing. It was ok.

Going to look at wrapping up the story of Shadow of Mordor. I have just one or two story missions left, and I was going to go back and do some of the side missions, but I don't really have the time or desire. It was definitely a fun game, but every non-stealth mission goes the same way for me and I'd say I've wrung

It's also in the radio drama, which was pretty good if you like that sort of thing (I do).

Playing hotseat SMAC with my best friend all night, and not realizing how much time had passed until we heard birds chirping, turned, and saw the sun was coming up.

Help me internet, I have been zinged!

To be fair, they did the thing where the characters speak in Russian with subtitles first, and then they zoom in on the guy's mouth as he's speaking and he switches to English so you understand that they're actually still speaking in Russian to each other. It's just a narrative convenience.

That movie is so dumb and as kids my sisters and I loved it. I think I've seen it a dozen times. Even 25 years later I can quote a couple of lines from memory:
"Spotted tanker, sunk truck!"
"Kraus! Unload the paint and steal the truck."
"Put it on the pig?!"
"Long calcetines. Non-regulation!"

Disagree. Think about the discussion they had about California when Don was trying to convince everyone about SC&P West. Ted doesn't hate Don. They just aren't alike.

Yeah, I think you're right - I hadn't really thought about it before.

Peg + Cat rules and I wish my daughter liked it a bit more. I always encourage her to watch it, but we usually end up with Jake and the Neverland Pirates (which has ZERO redeeming qualities) or Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (which at least encourages some rudimentary problem solving).

Yeah, my public library system is pretty amazing. And I don't even really take advantage of it all the way - I can reserve stuff from any branch and it'll get shipped over from wherever. Instead I just wander in to my local tiny one and pick up whatever happens to be there. Their search engine needs SERIOUS help

I borrowed DS2 from the library last weekend, played it for an hour, died 6 times and immediately gave up. I am weak. But I also know I only have a few hours a week to play games and I can't cope with brick wall difficulty curves.

I say this line to my wife with alarming frequency.

DLM gets laughter at that locale and with presumably the same sound engineer so…question mark?

I also really like Face/Off, although I watched it with my wife for what she claimed was her first time ever and I felt the runtime. I enjoy the crazy nonsense of the movie, but I think it should be shorter. Also the scene where Travolta's daughter is eyed up by what she thinks is her father is deeply uncomfortable.

Your inability to distinguish television from reality is troubling.

Red Dead Redemption. I got to the part where your family is back and did a couple of missions, and then I got pulled away by other events in my life. Every time I try to go back, I don't have the twitch muscles to succeed at late game missions, and I don't have the time to build them back up. I've deliberately avoided

This is a great analysis of Pete.
