fuck you, Chelios
fuck you, Chelios
they are not nearly as important as Han
HE KILLED HAN THOUGH
I definitely played Pokemon (the kind on a Game Boy) throughout an entire semester of Linguistics lectures.
rocks4jocks and also for English majors that could not tell you how numbers work. It was the only time I ever encountered an athlete!
It's British, so maybe in the UK?
My mom dislikes any non-domesticated animal, but is especially afraid of bears and mountain lions. Which is great because despite her threatening to take us camping/hiking when we moved to Colorado, the threat of wildlife meant we never actually went.
And the spiders that showed up in my basement shower!
We used to get mice in the house sometimes, which used to absolutely terrify my mom. I think she would have been better with cockroaches.
It's on the BBC, so actually it's sped up while Yakity Sax plays.
I watched it with Dutch subtitles, which helps me keep track of the names and the dumbass way they're spelled.
I wish they'd just had a good mercantile race to work with. The baggage of the Ferengi established in TNG kept hamstringing them whenever they started to become less terrible.
Other than the potential use of the Ferengi, who are the worst, I agree with you.
Well, they can all group together now. Before the Internet, there might have been a couple guys in a region, and it was less likely that they'd meet up with others from elsewhere and amplify the bullshit. Now, though, everyone can find each other and make a "movement."
Also, Spock could clearly fight back in this - he was convinced of his own cultural superiority as much as Bones was convinced of his. It was sniping between equals. Data was much more of an innocent who only wanted to be human, and attacking that felt mean in a way that Bones griping at Spock didn't feel.
I think that's why my friends enjoyed it- they didn't know any better, since TNG and DS9 never really aired over here, but it had some space and some aliens and mildly entertaining characters.
I also want this, and resent the world for getting my hopes up about it.
He was the charming scoundrel friend in The Tudors as well, so it's really baffling that they don't let him be charming as Superman. That's what he's actually good at!
Voyager is fine, but just that, you know? Little of it is actively terrible, but not much of it really stands out, either. It's such a waste of potential in so many ways.
Yeah, my friend (who does not look at any message boards) was talking to me about the same thing yesterday. The editing is off- things don't feel right, and there's a bit of a genericness to the show now.
