I felt the same way about season 1 (the only great episode ther was "The Return") but season 2 is on another level, once you get to episode 4 basically.

SHBCH is the best. Or the worst.
If it makes it any better, those videos were indeed awesome. Not usually a huge fan of reworking opening sequences (the one posted in the article is pretty bleh for example), but those ones had so much awesome details.
@avclub-fd49932f918497f20b2931ddc110bcbe:disqus Fair enough.
Interesting. I thought this was awful. The last scene aside, I didn't even smirk once. I would say that I did't get it, but I don't think there was a lot to get… am I alone in this ?
Yeah, cause hitchiking in the Soviet Union was so much safer back when they were growing up.
Well, we're not sure Vasili's being executed. There's a pretty decent chance he'll get sent to a goulag.
The accent struck me as very unnecessary too. If they're gonna speak plain English, why give them accents ?
"What do the gods have in store for me" also seems like a weird thing to say for Ragnar.
That sounds like the perfect Dexter experience. Well, maybe you should have watched season 4, but other than that, good job. I can't bring myself to letting this show go myself though, for whatever reason. Glad it's finally gonna be over.
And Quinn from Glee. And Quinn from Homeland.
And season 2 is my favorite. Also, season 5 is my least favorite (well, except season 6 of course).
Yeah, it turns out Peter Dinklage would like to keep his nose.
I really, really hate to say this, but you may be overthinking this Todd. I mean, I essentially agree with most of what you say (the complaining about AD&D being portrayed as exclusive when it was inclusive is stretching a bit though), but I actually found this pretty funny.
Swarlos has a point.
That's close to it. The "çon" noise doesn't really exist in English as far as I know, but "sahn" is close enough.
Goodbye Lenin is really a perfect movie. Ostalgie is such a ridiculous phenomenon, and the movie just shows that perfectly, while still, as you said, being understanding of what's behind it.
Here comes Stompy the Bear : http://www.youtube.com/watc…
Great review Todd.
Weirdly enough, the Andy/Ellie storyline really bothered me, but I didn't think twice about the sleep sex before reading the review.
