I'm not sure the show was being evangelized anymore by the end of season 3. It seems to me that there was a lot of discontent going on about the season actually, with the only episode everybody agreed upon being Remedial Chaos Theory.

I think the whole problem with this episode was that it took all the meta jokes and the weird structure and forgot all the rest.
I'm not a torrent guy, but it certainly is available on streaming, though it took a few days more than usual, ironically.
That's true. Although, if Netflix had sent HoC way earlier to critics, they could still potentially have posted episodic reviews as soon as it got out.
This. So much.
I did a mix of both with The Sopranos : watched five seasons in about two months, then stopped because I had catched up to Todd's reviews. After that, I watched season 6 over the course of a year to be able to read the reviews immediately after watching the episode.
Sure but… is it really that hard to avoid spoilers ? I'm very spoiler-averse and I don't find spoilers to be much of a problem, on Twitter or elsewhere.
It's really funny reading this as a French guy because, well… the TV-watching world you describe is pretty much what I live in, where everyone is streaming/torrenting at their own rythm anyway, sometimes keeping up weekly to be part of Internet conversation, sometimes marathoning or sometimes watching a few episodes…
Thank you. It was really bugging me.

Agreed, but my sympathies were definitely with him at the end of the scene. Not by much (he did marry here after all, what did he expect ?), but still.
I can't decide between that and the way Ben tries to do the same thing with BJ's drink at the end, only to fail. Not a huge fan of the song, but the opening is pretty great visually.
I liked it fine which, considering how much I hate anything 80's related, is somewhat of an accomplishment.
Sure.
I'm pretty much the same. I really loved this show (it would have been 9th on my top10 list if… you know, anyone cared), but it's been months since everyone knew it would be cancelled. All in all, a full season ain't too bad.
In that same vein, Suburgatory is doing pretty well right now, even though it's nowhere near as good as Ben and Kate was (yes Todd, that one episode was really good, but still)
Or it would never have been picked up. It's a toss-up.
It's not a critical darling anymore though.
I don't understand how that is racist, or a joke.
