Don't worry! I like that you noticed the same thing. Las grandes mentes piensan igual…

You're definitely not reading too much into it. I made the same observation down there somewhere :)

I went back and watched it (as if I needed an excuse) and you're right! it is Pato! Damn it, how sweet <3. I might be toooo invested in this fictional relationship.

Another clear scene referencing the movies: the first time Jesse and Celine talk about their first sexual experiences is in the tram; Richie asks Patrick about his first time while they're riding Muni. (Can you tell I've seen this episode every day since it's aired?)

Just going by the trailer, I sensed that they were still in the great relationship bliss. We'll se on Sunday.

Friends "Breaking up" would be a great storyline.

I'm pretty sure he called him "Papi" (Daddy), which I've always considered is a pet name people who had bad relationships with their father call their significant other(s).

The romantic in me wants to shut you up. But the realist just sits here and nods.

He has all the traits to be objectively called "ugly" (whatever that means), but somehow the whole package makes him incredibly hot.

When he asked Richie if he has been to see la Señora since he met him, it was just too cute for words.

That was awful! But story-wise, I think it can be amazing. I love flawed characters and I can recognize Agustin's attitude as an accurate portrayal of those jealous-friend feelings you get.

Time for some Spanish-language clues into the episode!

His main shortcoming I think, at least in the eyes of Patrick, is his lack of ambition. At least, he hasn't really given the impression that he wants "big" things.

I did love how Patrick was all white-people feeling it, though. He is such a dork.

Everyday is like Sunday-Morrissey

Considering the nod to Friends in the episode, I'm thinking the medicine cabinet bit was a Seinfeld-inspired moment. Full of 90s references, it was.

What I remember about the Midnight Sun are the VERY stiff
drinks. San Francisco nightlife is all about the 440 for me, though.

I don't think it was on par with Before Sunrise, but it
certainly aspired to have the same flow and feeling. And, I think, it was
openly influenced by it. One connection I had missed and got today was about
the fortuneteller. In Before Sunrise, they also "consult" with one,
and it's a point of divergence for the

Echoing what everyone else had said, San Francisco is fucking beautiful. I have visited at lot since I was little, and I have this memory of my whole family going to the Castro and my mom being all loud about "wanting to see the gays!" and I was in the backseat, this chubby gay teen, repressing my need of telling her:

Just don't go to badlands
