While I like this aspect of the new format, I am annoyed by the fact that - by the time we find out who is in danger of going home - I have almost certainly already forgotten all of the routines from the previous show.

Agreed, it was SO distracting! And not in a good way.

Good catch! I assumed since the music from the first routine was current, and since I didn't immediately associate the music from the second routine with my early childhood, that it must have been current as well. But we all know what happens when you assume.

Agreed. I was shocked when it happened, but maybe there is something to this strategy of talking to the choreographers and mulling it over for a week. In any case, Chehon looked much stronger than he ever has, so this might work out fine after all.
