I agree with Time Bulleteer that the first season is underrated. A lot of the episodes have a fun B-movie feeling (Invisible Girl! Nightmares! Hyena-spirit-body-snatching!). The show is definitely calibrating itself though, as many shows do, and it additionally suffers from apparently no budget. If you're not into

"Sleep Tight" is a great choice. I really wanted to include something within the Wesley's betrayal arc, but couldn't decide if those three episodes could be separated (it's been a while).

I love Smile Time, but I kept it off for the same reason "Hush" and "The Body" are off TDW's list— I don't think the wacky hijinks are very representative. And I thought it would make a strange ending episode.

While we're gathered, anyone want to try and make a 10 essential Angel list? Probably quite a bit harder with how serialized Angel eventually got. All I know is that AYNOHYEB is on it.

Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. What can I say, I always had a weakness for Xander/Cordelia.

Take This Waltz! Which I thought was one of the best movies I saw this year actually. Though I don't know if it counts as a 2011 release instead because of Canada.

I saw He Who Gets Slapped earlier this year, and the scene in which you see Lon Chaney's clown routine is the sad enough to give you nightmares. (Love The Wind too. Lillian Gish finally getting revenge on all the douchy abusers. That ending is a thinker too.)

Yeah seriously, which one isn't lovely?

Lol. *Kansan. Should have bothered to look it up. Though I wonder if any real Kansans hate The Wizard of Oz just for all the "not in Kansas anymore" comments.
