I enjoyed Agent Coulson in the Marvel movies, but lets be honest, he wasn't carrying those films alone.
It's a fun character, but it's a real problem when it's the ONLY fun character on the show.

The problem may have also been in casting. Brad Pitt pulls off the "guy we all wish we were" part, but fails convey the dark side of that character. Even as he's kicking the shit out of Norton, he's still cool and funny and charming. There's nothing about him that conveys the menace that the character should represent…

The fact that this show didn't get an ensemble nomination at the SAGs and Game of Thrones, a show where the majority of the cast never meets, did is sickening.

Hate to tell you this Colin, but most people absolutely know Ed Begley, Jr. by name and it's not at all shocking to hear what great projects he's been involved with, because we've all seen them.

I'm rarely, if ever, one to be offended by these sorts of things (WASPy male here), but I do consider my self sensitive enough to detect when something might be found offensive by… whoever determines these things at this point.
