Yea, as much as I'll miss it, it also kind of feels like the right time end it. My only regret is that the much-hyped David vs. Steph pizza challenge never came to pass.

Have you tried calming yourself with a mother meditation?

Who would have thought that Aaron was the secret ingredient putting that show over the top?

Definitely agree with all that, I wasn't really trying to hate on Huntsberger with that comment. Lord knows Tig and especially Kyle also benefitted from having someone to rein them in a lot of times. In fact, I always thought that he got waaaaaay more shit than was ever warranted. Like you said, he was

If that was going to happen, don't you think it would have already started?

Also, I'm not terribly surprised David's show isn't great. For one, it's a pretty played out concept at this point, I'm sure SyFy is getting behind it mainly because it's cheap to produce. Secondly, if you go back and listen to the solo episodes, it's pretty obvious that of the three, David is the one who benefits

The whole thing was great. I can't imagine what the thought process at Totino's was for green lighting it though.

I didn't think the penultimate episode with just David and Kyle was that bad, although it probably helped that they actually had the increasingly rare good guest. I think they definitely could have made a go at doing their own thing, though it would have felt a bit wrong to call it Professor Blastoff without Tig.

"A kiss from a rose on the bath". The joke you wanted to make about the bathroom was "A kiss from a rose on the bath".

Well unless you buy that popular children's sermon that candy canes were originally conceived to be full of Christian symbolism (red=Jesus blood, cane shaped because shepherds, etc.). Personally I've always assumed that was a bunch of BS, but I'm sure he believes it.

It's less the lack of legs than the high-waists where I have trouble seeing the appeal.

Damn people from things I like having successful careers instead of just waiting for the slim chance their old show gets revived!

what is with high waisted shorts in general? I realize every generation has it's own inexplicably popular fashion that looks terrible on everybody, but the high-waisted shorts seem particularly befuddling.

The one thing I'm not looking forward to this season is the sure-to-be-constant demands from SEC fanbases that they should get 2 teams in the playoff. Even if the other 4 conferences all fielded undefeated teams and the SEC had a bunch of 10-2 teams at the top, they will still whine about deserving 2 teams in the

I'm resisting the urge to downvote Iowa City…for now.

I was waiting for it to happen because he hasn't been having any accidents, but he'd clearly been holding it until we put a diaper on him for naps/bedtime.

You would think a poster time traveling here from over a decade in the past would be bigger news!

I have to start getting stuff together for our brunch tailgate on Saturday. Not a fan of these 11AM kick-offs, but at least Iowa State's schedule has a decent amount of September/October home games this year. Last season was backloaded on the coldest weekends. Not expecting much from the team this year though.

My kid actually pooped on the toilet last night, I lost some weight, and I get to go watch college football/marching band this weekend. Life is pretty good.

Wouldn't Dormmamu and Dr. Strange's powers originating from some parallel dimension be a suitably "sci-fi" explanation for the movie universe? It's not "magic", it's energy somehow accessed from a dimension with different laws of physics than our own, or something along those lines.
