@Barnitosupreme:disqus Oh, I know it.  I'm assuming that unlike Dodds the new AD will be aware that basketball is a sport that exists and pay attention to how badly Barnes underperforms every year.

Please let this be a mid-season replacement for Dad's and stabilize that Tuesday night line-up.  Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Mulaney, New Girl, Mindy would be a solid line-up in at least the same sense as the dying days of NBC Thursdays were, right?

Even if true, isn't that kind of damning with faint praise this year?  I can't think of a single hit I really liked this year and I'm not really a pop music snob.

The first apartment that MNCyGal and I lived in after college was in a building where the whole top floor was occupied by 1st and 2nd generation Bosnian immigrant family.  They were the friendliest people you ever met (even the teenagers most of the time) but they cooked the worst smelling shit that hit your nostrils

I was no fan of living below people in apartments, but that's fucking ridiculous.  IMO, the only legit noise complaints are TV/music volume because you can actually fix that.

Being in a wedding is the easiest thing in the world, especially if you're not the best man.  Outside of making yourself presentable and being pleasant to the bride and groom's family you're not expected to do anything that you are not explicitly told to do.  Seriously, don't attempt to help with anything unless asked

I worked at Subway for about 1.5 years in HS.  I may be guilty of around 1,723 imagined murders of these people. The one who really deserved it was the hillbilly who was dumbfounded that plain ketchup wasn't available as a condiment for his cold-cut sub.

I know I'm in the minority, but I'm actually liking the new OS.

I used to work with someone who had a big bowl of candy-apple candy corn on her desk every fall and that stuff became like crack to me.

@avclub-011d0b4fe6835bb3d37ef4e0ea713de6:disqus Yes and its ridiculous.  The only reason I ever go there is we have a friend who is basically limited to eating at certain chain restaurants because she has Celiac disease and needs to be 100% sure they have a gluten-free menu.

I don't know if it counts on learning to do things but I am working on becoming a little better read and also having some damn perspective instead of being so worked up all the time.

I like Texas Roadhouse enough but, and maybe this is just an Iowa/Midwest phenomenon, but I can't understand why people are willing to wait an hour or more in that little corral to eat there.  Just throw a steak on the grill at home people.

I watched MasterChef Jr. and it was actually kind of great.  It felt like the show I actually want adult MasterChef to be.

This is false, although I do enjoy both.

I'm kind of behind, but both of my supervisors are on or going on vacation so I'll actually have a good chance to catch up.

I bought a big container of it at Walgreen's last Saturday and polished it off in one day.  No regrets.

I'm having a week of actually trying the suggestions I've solicited from these threads.  I made butternut squash soup with cheese biscuits on Sunday which were well received.  Tonight I will be attempting Shakshuka.

Both Mack Brown and Rick Barnes are probably looking at their last seasons.

Iowa State won a game!!!!  And tomorrow I'm taking the old man to our game against Texas, who are such a mess right now I'm actually getting my hopes up.

That Superman: The Animated Series episode with Dr. Fate and everybody turning into Lovecraftian monsters that freaked me the hell out as a kid.
