Thunderstruck is definitely on my radar.  After burning through DITWC and Garden of the Beasts so fast I decided I should read some other things first so I still had Thunderstruck waiting as a little treat.

I didn't mean to imply that the Holmes parts weren't great, they were also very good.  I just thought @avclub-ca6cb47da12090ffd2470daf51f71be1:disqus was selling the World's Fair parts a little short.

I was actually almost the opposite.  I enjoyed the Holmes sections, but I thought the World's Fair stuff was fascinating.  Maybe that's because I'm an engineer working with architect's on a daily basis, but I thought those sections were the more interesting slice of historical life.

I enjoyed Devil in the White City and In the Gaden of Beasts so much that I was looking for something similar a few weeks back.  As such, I'm currently enjoying Destiny of the Republic: A Tale of Madness, Medicine, and the Murder of a President by Candice Millard.  So far I've enjoyed it, and I love reading about some

There are several worse ways to spend a Sunday morning than a cup of coffee and CBS Sunday Morning.  It should be dull and tedious as hell, but it's not.

Somebody please explain if the steakflower thing is anything more than pure silliness for the sake of silliness.

Bitch 23 would work well on Tuesdays on Fox, and Ben and Kate would give them something that fits well enough on Wednesday to justify getting rid of the awful alien show.

This seems as good a place as any to ask this question:

The other day while perusing the Netflix streaming Christmas options I came across a film from I believe 1959 simply titled "Santa Claus".  The description said it featured Santa and Merlin teaming up to stop the Devil from ruining Christmas.  Has anyone watched

You're not alone.  I remember getting really excited when an episode featured Robin during the original run.  Part of that may have been due to how rare it was.
