You're not alone.  I remember getting really excited when an episode featured Robin during the original run.  Part of that may have been due to how rare it was.

That reminds me…they should have brought back the Sing-Off this year as the harmlessly entertaining holiday fill-in it was always meant to be.

@avclub-7c6c82bb528ebd24198e2d387d207f80:disqus Maybe they could have just come up with a better origin story for Darth Vader than "little kid never gets over having to leave his mommy"?

I know it doesn't fix the age of the characters issues, but Batman burning through Robins at a clip of about one per year actually works for me and kind of makes sense.

It's definitely gotten worse too.  I appreciate that they are trying to broaden their audience and not keep bringing in the same rotation of guests, but they need to go back to making the guests play their game.  For as brilliant as that episode was, I think the Richard Simmons episode is where that trend definitely

I DID watch it!  I mean, I didn't feel good about it and it had more to do with a high school crush on Sophia Bush, but still, I can't be blamed.

Which is a shame, because jumping forward enough years to have an adult version of their son was  actually the more entertaining choice.

I'm not sure what killed that franchise more: the kid or the horrible scorpion king CGI.

Tina Fey + Paul Rudd = Probably seeing this even if it gets awful reviews.
