You're wrong—-I'm fully bilingual, and there's not but a trace.

Someone who learns a language before their teen years won't have an accent.

She didn't have an accent in "National Treasure" that I can recall.

Precisely. Not to mention that the tokens it held would have surely slipped down and out.

A disappointingly flat episode—-quite a let down after the last couple. So much time spent highlighting the obvious, especially after the hilarious opening scenes. Sigh.

I wonder if Hank survived the car crash.

She is, after all, an accountant.

"why would the CIA be interested in sponsoring a drug lord"

1. Hank is missing.
2. DEA went after Red Ridge
3. Sonya wants to save Hank

"Because of that unity of plot, the second season buries would the truly great show hiding on the margins of The Bridge."

devoid of empathy fits her character, even though this season her autism has been downplayed.

I was being sarcastic.

You might recall he turned his back to her. Seems at odds with your suggestion of a sexual assault at that point.

"The Chopper" takes his time. "I'd make love to you in a New York minute, and take my Texas time KILLING YOU" (apologies to some C&W song).

Eleanor is mightily annoyed by little things….

No—-Sonya will head the department. First rule: NO EYE CONTACT!!!

BTW it would be very strange to see a rattlesnake in the daytime, in the open—-rattlesnakes are nocturnal, and wouldn't tolerate the heat of day.

The one danger Sonya faced—-and I felt sure would befall her—-was getting raped. The scene in the back of the van, while she was unconscious, certainly pointed in that direction. I was quite surprised "The Chopper" didn't follow through.

If Hank is really dead (or soon to be), it would free the writers from having to deal with his unprofessionally shooting Sonya's sister's killer.

Nicely-paced episode, weakened only by the presumption that Sonya wasn't going to end with it, thereby thwarting the attempt to build tension.
