Jeez, now there's a weird leap… from Martin Mull's mouth to Frank Zappa's ear.

But no, I will not fuck "14-year old boy".

Why must you rule everything around me?!

I would champion an album of Kanye farting into a mic regardless of any such positive reviews. It would be the greatest thing he's ever recorded, to these ears.

Fastandsloppy, you're not alone. I like The Bends alright, but I remember a friend sitting me down with KidA and raving about it, and I just couldn't get into it. Didn't hate it, didn't like it, didn't care. Ditto OK Computer when I finally decided to find out what everyone was going nuts over. I think I sold it

I wish I could've gotten into the Fall, but I've hated that miserable bastard Mark E. Smith and his stupid voice for way too long.

Yeah, actually he's sounding kind of awesome right now. Sounds less awesome when he beats a woman, or fucks a hooker on coke in the same hotel as his kids sleep, but this mansion-with-two-ladies-and-riches-beyond-compare thing is my idea of a good time.

I want someday to have two fly ladieez instead of just one. That's double the fun right? Right?

If you don't like it, you don't like it.

Yeah, Sun Ra's got SO MUCH that it's hard to pick a single entry. His music has a lot of different eras too, and so you really have to have a lot of different entry ways.

I never got to see Sun Ra himself, but I saw the Arkestra under Marshall Allen twice, and they were still awesome. But I loved seeing all the various videos they have out there of the Arkestra in their prime. Seriously surreal stuff.

I'd be stunned if anyone was any different.

gphatty, I'm with you on Atlantis, though not necessarily biking to it. I LOVED that one for long roadtrips.

Mainstream, thank you! YES, I've been trying to remember the actual quote. I think it's one of the best quotes I've ever heard, and one I bust out (albeit in paraphrased and incorrect form) whenever someone asks me to describe my own music.

Ana Ng, we're really getting old and we still haven't walked in the glow of each other's majestic presence… listen Ana, hear my words, etc. etc. etc.

Lou Reed's solo stuff is just too scattershot to "like or not like". You like albums of his, but not all of it. I like "Street Hassle" and "Transformer" the most, myself.

I had giant irradiated crabs in my pubic hair for years, and I finally got what they were trying to do and I got that they did it and I realized I thought it was awesome. Only too me the better part of an hour.

In Rich Tanguy's old apartment I used to wait til he went to work and the masturbate all over every square inch of his bedroom and kitchen. When I finally (FINALLY) ran out of semen, I would allow homeless guys in to do the same. It was AWESOME.
