They were good product, always thought putting the original movies on as well was a classy move, lot of these would not have got a release back then otherwise.

I guess they are calling it season one to differentiate it from the forthcoming new episodes as it's not much of a known quantity here in the UK. It's not a deal breaker and Netflix's categorising and notation have always been a bit suspect here, pretty much used to it. Just glad to finally have some decent MST3000 to…
The entire season one has just landed on UK Netflix, well it's called season one but it seems to be a selection from different US seasons. Plenty of classics in there though: Manos, Space Mutiny, Pumaman, Future War, Laserblast, Time Chasers. It was shown on some cable channel here about 18 years ago with little…
I'm sure he's listening to the original Futurama theme on his headphones so he can keep in synch. This is how all cover versions work.
Great movie, all three of them are really and so good to finally get them all out properly. This one looks great on Blu-Ray, it really brings out the scuzziness. Lots of additional footage and extras. Were it not for Spheeris lots of these bands would have left no visual record.
Absolutely, every single gag landed. Both storylines delivered. Just full of great details like Jessica's "Meow" when providing the voices for the flashback. Perfect!
I used to have Marvel's comic adaptation of Close Encounters, they had to draw in all the lens flares, looked pretty odd, all these empty circles and sparkles all over the place.
They never made much of a dent here in the UK, I think Leif Garrett's version of I Was Made For Loving You was a bigger hit than theirs. But I do remember the solo lps getting something of a promotional push. In the 70's, before cheap air fares and internet, the US was seen as impossibly cool to kids here: Six Million…
There's a new Blu-ray of The Ninth Configuration coming out in the UK very soon. Love that movie, so damn odd.
Her repeated flinching at the basketball was a highlight.
I would have bought the Blu-Rays but the UK versions had zero extras on them. So even reviewers who supported the show wouldn't recommend anyone should buy them, I didn't see them reviewed anywhere or promoted.
She made a great almost apology at the end for being, I think, "nearly not-right".
Oh sure, those movies have their place and their fans, I would have loved to have seen Bloodsucking Freaks on 42nd street when it came out and it was a titles I hunted for years for on VHS, it was hard to see in the UK for a long time. I was just using it as an example to show that Pieces has a completely different…
This movie is tons of fun. Even though it's packed with gore and people being chopped up (it really is exactly what you think it is) it's done with such glee and abandon that it never feels mean or sleazy, like, for instance, the reprehensible Bloodsucking Freaks. That it has a 4K Blu-ray is something that reaffirms…
Looking at Kurtwood Smith's huge forehead and baldness he'd make a great job of Marvel's The Watcher.
Enjoyed the dance number, always liked that green neon and automat set so good to see it again, even in pieces. Got the impression from the editing and framing that Lyndsey Fonseca really cannot dance. Shame too they…
What bugs me the most is how the trilogy as a whole deals with Batman. Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, does it for about a year then retires after the Joker adventure. Then he comes back for a few weeks, gets his back broken, then takes a few weeks off to heal before coming back for a day then retiring again. He's hardly…
Yeah, but according the script at the time, their past involves a 15 year old Marion having a relationship with a 27 year old Indiana Jones. That's a different kind of movie altogether.
Cal from Harper's Island (Adam Campbell from other stuff).
Crockett's Theme IS amazing, was reacquainted with it when it was used on Eastbound & Down (still one of the best music supervised shows).
Live soundtrack was amazing, Zefira has a stunning voice. They even had a few mannequins placed in the audience, nice touch. I've seen the film a few times, if the audience laughs at the first bit behind the bathroom door then the film has caught them. It's a lovely film about the routine of relationships underneath…
