I tend to agree with ArchieLeech. Audiences are looking for style over substance a good deal of the time. They are more interested in escape than education.

Euphoria Morning has Cornell listed as songwriter on every tune, with Alain & Natasha listed as co-songwriters on 5 of the 12 tracks.

I did "Impromptu Speech."

I, too, had high hopes when I heard that Chris Cornell was going into the studio with the guys from Rage. I remember telling friends that they were the most boring version of the band that could have been.

The first five years after DOTU came out, Superunknown was still my favorite album of theirs. DOTU has surpassed it in the last decade or so. And it's because of that second half. I think Switch Opens, Zero Chance and Boot Camp are three of the best tracks they've ever written (4th of July and Like Suicide were my

I think they should make a new Fantasia every 10 years or so.

Arsenio - You couldn't come up with two different kinds of cake?

Our family enjoyed it. My four year old son loved the bad guys, my two year old daughter loved Rapunzel and the wife and I really enjoyed the humor.

Counter-intuitive behavior
Two things in this episode that I think should get revisited:

Miller - I love LOVE Down on the Upside as well. Woefully underrated.

I love all the albums mentioned here (Siamese Dream, Superunknown, Nevermind and Undertow). Each one was my favorite for a time during the early 90s, so it's hard for me to say which is better.

I don't think it was a publicity ploy. I think it came up organically in an interview, and the media jumped on it. My wife's a writer and she does this sort of thing for her characters all the time - creates mini biographies to flush out who they are for herself, much of which never actually makes it into the final

How could I forget The Burbs?!?

I liked quite a few tracks on it. It's absolutely over the top (I'm not sure what the thinking was behind sampling that monologue from Cool Hand Luke AGAIN), but I don't mind.

I'm going to wager that you aren't a fan of rock music if you can't find some pleasure in Rocket Queen or Mr. Brownstone.

@Ash Ally - I spoke with someone else recently who was unaware of Tom Hanks' comedic talents. I guess it's somewhat of a generational thing. He did do his biggest comedies back in the 80s (Splash, Money Pit, Man With One Red Shoe, Bachelor Party, and the unfairly derided Joe Vs. the Volcano).

She was awesome in Lost, ergo, it's all good.

You want Skyline Chili? Do you have a burning desire to flush the contents of your bowels like the bursting of the Hoover Dam?

I could be wrong, Way Late, but I don't think anyone here was praising her for her acting chops.

Is it possible that there is no weak link on this show?
