I saw Ray on the Trouble tour and really enjoyed it. It's not the most insightful music in the world, but it is beautiful and his voice is an incredible instrument.

It's actually about 12 times funnier than Bored to Death.

Abdi's piece
His piece this week was probably the first one this whole season that I would love to own. There have been other pieces that I enjoyed (John's book cover was great), but I'm glad Abdi finally found a way to show how amazingly talented he is.

Screaming Trees and Soundgarden were the two best things to come out of the Seattle scene, with Soundgarden edging out the Trees for being more sonically adventurous. Post-break-up, Lanegan's career has been much more interesting than Cornell's, so it's a draw overall.

Florence and the Machine have a few good songs, which made surprised to see them listed here. I picked up their album after hearing a song in an HBO promo.

If they're both content and sleepy, then at least they're on equal ground.
