As much as I'd love to see Carnivale back, I actually think it had a really grand and dark conclusion that fit the nature of the show. The whole show was ambiguous so why shouldn't the ending be?

My favorite Steinbrenner line ever is in this one. It's right after George hangs up the phone in Steinbrenner's office:
Feinberg is now a personal hero of mine. I'm surprised King didn't see fit to throw a holocaust joke at him.
The panel acting like they don't know what a facial is is just pathetic.
I think this is the first time an author of a piece responded to me. Praise be unto you, good Herzog.
Sadly I don't have Showtime so I have to wait for the DVDs but I've always felt that this show is a lot better than its reputations. It has stupid moments but it can nail an emotional moment as well as almost any other show out there. Duchovny really shines in scenes with his daughter and some of them are really…
I feel like a lot of people miss the toiletbrush line but it remains one of my favorites.
I never took the ending as theological at all. I'm a pretty big atheist and I loved the ending because it was very humanist, about how we're all in this together. I never took it as anything religious. When Christian opens the door we have no idea what happens next which is as it should be for the show: one last…
Jason Alexander should've gotten an Emmy for his delivery of the line "It was when I was bangin'!"
I love this episode, it's possibly my favorite but "Mayham" and "The Blue Comet" are also up there. However, this episode does have the awesome Phil line of, "We're anonymous!" which never fails to make me laugh.
These types of rumors seem to crop up whenever a major character dies.
Eli took the fall for the election tampering, not for the murder. It was only Halloran who went down for that.
Rothstein is indeed the man. Put him on Whitney, or even Bones, and you'll suddenly have a watchable show.
Noel always does a solid job with the reviews. Whether I agree in total with him or not doesn't matter; his reviews always make me think about the episode in a different light.
Hindsight makes this episode all the more brilliant and tragic. I'm going to have to watch these last two episodes again soon knowing what I now know.
This was a fantastic hour and I was completely shocked when Jimmy died. Terrance Winter got me, I'll admit it. I did not see that coming at all. There are a ton of things I want to talk about but I need to let it sit with me a bit longer. However, there are two items that must be mentioned:
Yeah, I have to give Kurt respect for that interview and him admitting he's probably gone over the line regarding critics in the past.
At least George would've given us a solid "Noooooooooooo!" from Jax when the CIA reveal happened. As it was, I had to just deal with the one I gave at home.
That whole blog post shows a complete lack of awareness as to what the complaints were about. He thinks people didn't like it because of the explosions? No, people didn't like the episode because it was dramatic cowardice.
I was happy with the Christopher ending, definitely. I was happy with most things except the first half of the sixth season having a few episodes too many. Oh, and the episode "Christopher" but that goes without saying.
