The Sopranos worked because anti-climax was half the point of the show (although they never ended a season with this much of a "coitus interuptus feel). It was very much about the small, mundane aspects of life that eat away at us while we distract ourselves with bigger things like money etc.

Justified is much better. The dialogue, plotting and characterization is… wait for it… streets ahead with our friends Raylan and Boyd. Jax and Clay have nothing on those two.

WE HAVE TO GO BACK!

That interview gave me a lot less hope for future seasons.

Or at least deal with the characters' rage at having to let Clay live. Don't act like it's all okay and have them move on like nothing happened.

I'm on twitter and feel like doing that. I don't even want to do it just because I disliked it, that would juvenile, but because he's acted like such an enormous ass in regards to complaints this season and just doubled down when it came to this finale.

For a guy who acts like such a badass on twitter, Kurt Sutter doesn't have much in the way of guts when it comes to his show.

I want Manny and Richard to team up.

I think he did it for Jimmy, hence his nod to him before closing the curtains. His loyalty is heartbreaking.

It's kinda amazing how much was foreshadowed. Even the Commodore stabbing Jimmy; in the premiere we saw him practicing with a spear and stabbing.

Her screaming, "Finish it!" was pretty harrowing.

I don't know. I wouldn't mind it if my parents got me to spend some time around Gretchen Mol.

I loved it. It could've been so bad yet it was executed perfectly because as bizarre (Margaret turning on Nucky) or disturbing (you know what I mean!) the twist and turns were they were completely believable because they were based on fully formed characters and in no way betrayed those characters as we know them.

If it's not the Star Wars Holiday Special then the terrorists win.

I agree with everything you said. I always enjoy Noel's reviews, and this one is as good as all the others even if I disagree, but I really liked this episode quite a bit. One scene that hasn't been mentioned is the incredibly creepy smile Arnold Rothstein gives before he tells Nucky that the gambler always likes the

Are you kidding? This was the best review ever. It totally matched the show he was reviewing. Now that's dedication.

If there's not a dead pope walking around the house by the time this season is over I'm going to be very upset.

Trust me, you really don't.

I don't know which was worse: this episode or the preview for next week?

I'd rather see Todd at Thanksgiving than my actual family.
