If every Woody Allen movie before 1997 is any indication, then why yes, New York is the land of opportunity for attractive-deficient males.

I've only read Inherent Vice, and honestly thought that it was pretty terrible. I mean, it was clearly a really intelligent literary figure experimenting in a low-brow pulp style…but the joke's on the reader, cause at the end of the day it's still a low-brow pulp novel.

To me, Parks and Recreation is the best show on TV period. It would be kind of cool if they had a best of the best vote, forget splitting the categories up…I think the whole Golden Globes-style of nominating is kind of bullshit.

@avclub-6ef36c8de89f58253dbbd5f338837bf1:disqus good point with regards to the idea of there being some really high-quality programming on HBO, and that's it. A part of me certainly agrees that there should be some kind of system in place to purchase/stream those episodes separately. I don't blame them for skipping…
That's all very noble and honerble of you…but most people who justify pirating with this exact logic…well, darnit, things just keep getting in their way to make it to the store to buy a season of television on DVD that they've already watched.
This article pairs nicely by a recent TV Club review of a My Little Pony episode—-incidentally, it was given an "A."
Not to make this a straight-up political thread or anything (too late?), but…
@avclub-39dca326a735f7a59073a9f23b89094f:disqus , I liked Bored To Death. Although, to be fair, there's probably a reason I never got around to seeing a single episode of season 2.
Entourage, Sex and the City…
Agreed with White Noise, but I do think Catch 22 sucked. One of those rare books where I was just forced to quit about halfway through, although I rarely do that.
