I quite enjoyed this film, but the one thing I do agree with is the "Errol Morris" vibe to it. A bit quirky at times, especially with the It's a Wonderful Life juxtopisatian and amusing family bikering scenes.

I would ask you to please better define "job" and even "done" in this case.

I *think* we are supposed to laugh. Or, something. Help anyone??

Not a single NYC show. Not ONE. Great…I now have 7 vouches good for 2 tix each and not a single show I can use them for.

Just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed every single entry you posted throughout this years Cannes festival. It was some of the best film writing I've read in quite awhile. Your writing has some great insights without ever feeling overly pretentious or elitist (a hard trick to pull off when discussing some

Both Rampling and Michael Caine do have a point though. You shouldn't just nominate someone because they are black…that in and of itself IS reverse-racism.

To be fair, I feel like the question wasn't clued enough to nudge the contestants in a way as to be answered. Just my two cents.

Fair enough. I say just give them both best Leading Actress and be done with it. But, I can't be totally upset…there's a chance they both might go away with an Oscar.

Here's a weird thing about this year's nominations…why is Rooney Mara considered a Supporting Actress? Didn't she have just about as much screen time as her co-star Cate Blanchett?

Well…isn't the A.V. Club just in a super snarky mood today! I for one greatly enjoyed his last two films, but furthermore am a big fan of almost all of his filmography. Its hard to deny that the same director who made "Manhattan," "Annie Hall," "Hannah And Her Sisters," "The Purple Rose Of Cairo," "Husbands And

I found Django Unchained to be far less than perfect. However, that's only one miss out of 7…not a bad track record at all.

So…they DID cheat you're saying? Because Tom Brady certainly doesn't think so. So either he's a liar or a cheater…or both!

Yeah…I gotta say, nothing about these statements on crowdsoursicing (despite A.V. Club's use of "sarcasm" and "hypbole")Kickstarter projects really strike me as anything unreasonable.

"Dzhokhar Tsarnaev—who faces the death penalty for allegedly carrying out the bombings with his brother Tamerlan"

I cant do math/science, nor am I even a sports fan really…so I'll go ahead and trust your work.

I say this as someone who usually defends SNL to all those people who say how bad it is/how it used to be so much better/etc/etc…but seriously, this was the worst episode of the show Ive seen in a long time. I gave it a "C" just for the Calvin Klein skit, the Weekend Update, and maybe the Bushwick one too.

Russia wasn't by choice, it was by necessity.

You would make an awful movie executive. The trilogy has grossed hundreds of millions of dollars so far. Why WOULDN'T they make another one! Its common sense for Pixar/Disney.

Not commenting on the celebrities post (if you really think I am, you didn't take time to understand my comment).

Uhhh…I saw the film, and thought her performance was ridiculously over-acted and "showy"…do I get a vote here?
