Yeah, I wasn't expecting much, but really enjoyed it. Looks like a good start to what could be a very good series. Looking forward to the next episode, and I love it that Jughead isn't portrayed as goof. I know that's blasphemy to some fans of the comics, but I dig it.

"Anyone who voted for Trump is a literal Thuggee!", or "Jesus, Trump is worse than Mola Ram!!!". I like it!

I'd always heard the guitar interplay was based more on Duane/Coltrane, Betts/Cannonball Adderly, but your point stands. Loved it when they'd harmonize on the same riff like at the end of each solo on "Blue Sky".
I was lucky enough to see the Betts/Haynes lineup three times in the 90's. Always a great fuckin' time,

I've always thought of them as a southern version of the Dead, but tighter. Right down to the two drummers!

I wore the shit out of that word during the game. The first time all season Cowboys coach's blink and get off the ride Zeke gameplan, and it has to be in the fucking playoffs.

That game was a fucking heartbreaker. Rodgers played out of his fucking mind, and the rookie led Cowboys still only lost by three.
D's future is blindingly bright though, so there's that.

Favorite scene in the movie. And so, so sadly true.

Damn, he wasn't in a whole shitload of stuff, but he was consistently good in everything he was in.
One role not mentioned in the write up was his part in "Traffic", playing against Luis Guzman and Don Cheadle. Excellent.
Way to young. R.I.P.

You can count on a 7 layered snark dip every time the Dead is mentioned on this site.
Most of the comments are the same lame shit every time, too.

Your older brother know it's true as well. He just won't let himself admit it.
That album, while synth heavy, also has some of Page's best guitar solos. The solo on "I'm Gonna Crawl" is stupefyingly good. Also "In The Evening" and "Fool In The Rain".

Mama mia!! Thatsa spicy hotta take!!

Well, no shit. Your coach at the time, Buddy Ryan, put a fucking hit out on him in a game called the Bounty Bowl. I'd probably take that shit personal too.

If he'd only asked the Cowboys organization for a helmet….

How 'bout the Texans?
"Let's just name the team after the state we live in and leave it at that. Ya know, like the New York New Yorkers".

Sooner or later though, a rookie "will" win the Super. Why not Prescott?
He's smart, poised, humble, and seems to have the full support of the entire locker room. He's in the perfect position to make history. That's a stat that's begging to be broken.
That said, my expectations are firmly in check. Dallas has broken

Well put good sir.
Prescott & Elliot are two of the most likable players to wind up together in the same draft since…fuck, I don't know?

Cool story. I'm kind of a mirror image of that, minus the going to a bar where an ex player worked. I just grew up in Virginia, Redskin country, and took the contrarian position of rooting for their arch rivals.
That said, yes, Jerrah has been the source of a lot of mistakes for the franchise. The upside is his son,

"Say goodbye to your Packer 'friends' as they die on the surface of AT&T stadium [cackles]"
Dallas gonna roll!

Haven't read the book (need to), but the film version just devastated me. The scene with the Coke machine was heartbreaking.

I'm holding firm at six billion!
