@avclub-f8f8c273f326be25421cc62737d24a9e:disqus 1. Yes, absolutely I could. 2. Just a joke. But I see now that everyone here has a great sense of humor! My mistake!

It's cool. Joy and hilarity are not for everyone.

Can there be a Colbert Report spin-off where Colbert reads and subsequently mocks all the emails and memos he's ever received, followed by dance montages? That was some good shit.

First of all, I for one do not want to spoil the tension over whether or not Skyler will successfully pick up Raisin Bran CRUNCH this time.

Yes, but one could suggest that opening an article with an oblique example that no one really understands is a bit alienating at best.

Yeah, seriously. Explain @ferlarious?

Thank you. Does anyone have a take on why, within the logic of the show, Skinner was taking her on this drive? What was the desired outcome for him? Because he obviously had several (millions) of opportunities to take control and off her.

Well, here's the thing. I believe this reviewer…last week-ish even…stated that the show had achieved being "more" than a procedural, so the point is not necessarily the conclusion of the mystery, but the elaboration on the theme about choices. By those standards, this finale is a success.

This is a good question. I don't understand this either. I'm a woman and a feminist, but a guy telling me he "knows I want it" is douche-y and presumptuous (and usually, if he's saying that, wrong), not rape-y. I'm not threatened by that.

Dear god, reading this thread is sending me into a rage. I was going along thinking how fucking terrible both the "melody" and the insipid lyrics of this song are, and seriously how can people suggest otherwise, and then you have to send me over the edge by bringing up Taylor Swift, the queen of melody-less freaking

"Although William Frawley is the only cast member of this show I can see
myself trying to save if he were trapped on the rim of an erupting
volcano"

I grew up on this show…in the 80s/90s via re-runs. The famous scenes are so familiar to me that I don't react to them to much anymore, but I do still think the humor holds up in general.

This does tend to be the arc, I agree. There's much more power there than many viewers see. And more often than not, there is a sweetness to Ricky's reactions to her, an underlying affection.

Yup, that and "I Am A God" are excellent songs for embracing your aggressive driver. And if you haven't, you should.

I love "Hold My Liquor." That song is gorgeous. I may have cried. Fuck it, it made me cry. If Lou Reed can admit it, so can I.

1. I am a woman (fo real).
2. I am a feminist. I'm not going to go into types of feminism because that would take years.
3. I don't have a tumblr, or look at tumblr, as I am also a kind of Luddite (but I DO have this awesome AV Club account, don't I?).
4. I love this song. I don't understand how people don't want to

That is an excellent list. Hear, hear.

I found the two hip-hop routines (fine, if I must call them "NappyTab's routines," I will) lacking, actually. The first was but a pale imitation of the great Christopher Scott piece. I personally did not feel the chemistry, and a lot of the movements were not tightly in sync. The second was just….bland.

Nigel's comments: I can blame him. Has no one ever told him how creepy, gross, and non-family friendly his comments are? Is he incapable of restraining his mouth? And I'm not suggesting he cannot comment on a dance's beauty or sexuality, but I think we can all tell when he crosses the line.

Also, isn't there a reasonable explanation that he doesn't want to be thought gay, in that, you know, he wants women he meets to view him as a sexual option?
