Good point. One thing that felt way off is that we've had 4 years of building up how he's "breaking bad" and last week he was at his absolute power-trippiest yet, but in this episode, a pile of money tames him completely? Seemed weird. Maybe it is the cancer. But the show kind of took an easy out, since they won't be

I actually agree with OP. There were some great callbacks and beautiful shots here, but the tensions was lacking. When you figure that 1)Walt killed more people than he's ever killed and decomposed Mike, 2) decided to LEAVE THE METH BUSINESS (a decision 4.5 years in coming), and 3) Hank had his epiphany, I would

Yes, that old school family dinner scene was TENSE. How did they make conversation about hair styles and sunscreen fingers feel like THE MOST OMINOUS THINGS EVER?

Up for discussion: do black humor montages such as this make artistic commentary on the business of killing and life and death, or do they offer slightly off kilter people a chance to discuss ownage and talk about how cool it was when that guy was on fire?

Exactly. Also, Fring wasn't planning on killing Walt until he saw that Walt was an egomaniacal loose cannon whom he could not trust. Also, he was always jabbering on and on. Fring wants someone like Mike…a man of few words who does his job well. The point is, if Walt weren't Walt, Fring would not have tried to kill

Does anyone know when Breaking Bad comes on with Dish? I can't wait!

Yes. But all I could think during that scene was that if Jesse knew THIS, he would definitely go (remember his reaction to Brock). And I get sick thinking of the lies that Walt will tell Jesse upon his return and the way Jesse will believe them.

YES. His main problem is, as my mother would say, he needs a "major attitude adjustment." The moments that grate on me the most are the ones where he runs his mouth and/or has a smirky little love-fest with himself.

Oh, and I suppose you don't find my dialogue realistic, either?

Oh, no, I actually agree with that. I was referring to the OPs comment that this "MIGHT be the point of no return."

Oh, well, I didn't know your reactions to the show were based entirely on appreciation for quality acting. My fault.

My only complaint about Mike is that if I were him, once I got shot, I would find a phone and call my dear friend Jesse and say in no uncertain terms, "Dear friend Jesse, your mentor/father-figure/partner person Mr. Walter "Heisenberg" White has just shot me in the gut because I challenged his authority.
