The next time I have to hear "Far Behind" at any seedy dive bar I frequent, I will indeed wrench the TouchTunes jukebox off the wall and rape it with a broken whiskey bottle.

A note about "Eddie & The Cruisers:" Michael Pare can't sing. He apparently can't lip synch either.

"The After Hours" was one of the first TZ eps I saw and remembered seeing. "Odd" is only one of the many adjectives that could be used to describe the ep's atmosphere. Try "eerie" or "macabre" as better labels for one of the spookiest deposits in TZ's vaunted history of TV creep-outs. It's just something about those

Here's the story I heard (and it's probably completely false, but the timing seems right, so be patient). Paraphrasing:

White. She's got most of her original parts, and therefore, still human. And she probably won't bust out in show tunes.

The only reason why I addressed the above sentiment was this: I dislike Hollywood touting a remake/reinterpretation of a pre-exisiting, often quality picture as a new, shiny jewel because it received the tinsel town gloss treatment. Don't most audiences have a memory lasting as long as their last tweet?

Y'ever notice in the first three Trek series (barring TOS movie #6 and an ep of DS9), that gravity generators are nigh invulnerable (SPOON)? They NEVER break.

No mention of the quality HBO film "The Tuskegee Airmen" from a decade ago? More drama, less dogfights…if that's what you want in historical narrative. It even starred Laurence Fishburne!

Lucas didn't direct "Empire;" venerable science-fiction director Irwin Kirschner did.

Thoughts on Lucas' involvement in Hollywood since 1997: The only thing worse than an artist feeling he is above his audience is an artist who thinks he knows better than his audience. That's called arrogance.

Don't think MLK would've tuned in. It would've been his vacation. He'd probably go out to eat AT ANY RESTAURANT HE'D WANT TO.

Betty White's never gonna die. Her TV career never has, why should she? Betcha there'll eventually be a reboot of "Password" with her on the panel and a preserved Allen Ludden hosting.

Y'know which story about Costello's performance on SNL I like the best? The one that claims off-camera Lorne Michaels was flipping off Elvis for the duration of the song. Seemed that SNL's benefactor NBC didn't approve of a song decrying media dissolution.

A gin-soaked Hopkins… Yum. With fava beans.

(Smiles) One of the more momentous scenes in a film full of 'em was Painless' "suicide ceremony," set to the de facto "M*A*S*H" theme "Suicide Is Painless," no less. This bit was dementedly funny, even to a little kid (yes, my father showed this movie to me at an inappropriate age like all good movies should be seen).

Booby prize: Geddy Lee.

"Tonight there's gonna be a jailbreak, somewhere in this town…"

Call me cynical, but I am not reassured by Ke$ha's manifesto.

"Green Guardsman’s ring has no power over aluminum, is that better or worse than wood?"
