Totally, completely agree.  The "repeating itself" as you point out is actually pretty key to the plot of the film.  This review makes it sound as if it's due to the director/writer running out of ideas or something.

This.  It is sincere, and sweet.  It isn't ironic, it isn't cynical.  It doesn't have a "dark side."  And I guess that meant it didn't play with people.

Yeah, the movie "goes somewhere."  The movies bring the community together, it touches people, it brings them together etc.  That's the point of the movie.  Sure, maybe it is "light" and "trifling," but shit, does every movie have to have some huge major point or third-act shocker or plot-twist?  The hell is wrong

The hell is wrong with McCartney II?!

I don't care for the body horror stuff either - I've usually had to look away or some such - but as the show goes on and gets more into the mythology, that becomes less prevalent, I think.  I'd definitely still watch it if it sound like you'd like the themes - I did, and I do *NOT* do horror, and I loved the show.

I think it goes like this:

They did do that in last season's finale, too.  Like I've said, the thing that hurt Fringe the most was being on the bubble - certain payoffs from last season's rushed season finale (where they weren't sure if it was going to have to be a series finale too) would have worked better here if they hadn't had to do that

I don't necessarily agree that they did better than Lost, but that's subjective, of course.  I think Fringe suffered a bit from not knowing if they would come back for season 5, so season 4's finale ended up being a bit clumsy (though I liked it a lot more than it seems most people here did).  I think, on the whole,

I was a big fan of Lost, but Fringe didn't seem to appeal to me - I like sci-fi, but I don't care as much for sci-fi horror, and I wasn't a fan of the X-Files, and I don't watch a lot of TV so I didn't feel the need to have another show to follow.  The first episode I saw was "6955 kHz," solely because I happened to

I actually thought this finale was great for what it was - closure for this season and a way to hit the themes of the show.  But I'd have a hard time hearing out people who will say how great this is and how shit Lost's was, which is what we read every week on this board.  As pointed out, the voyage to the other side

Gosh, you *really* do sound like my type of girl!

You sound like my type of girl.

And you must be on Chief Kweef's street team, I'm guessing?  Judging from the posts you've made here today…

I've lived in Florida most of my life, growing up right between UF and FSU campuses, so I'd be inclined to agree with you there, until I moved to the northeast and came up against Philly fans, Jersey fans, NY fans, etc.  Florida fans ain't got *nothing* on northeast sports fans.

"Arounf" is a fun typo, though.  Now I just want to say "arounf."  Arounf.  Arounf.  Arounf.

Man, I'd *love* to see that.  I personally despised the show (and thought TVDW's condescending "heroic" post was a load of blowhard shit), though I wouldn't bother being a jerk and going online just to shit on a show.  A comment section dedicated to shitting on the show, however, might be fun - for any show, really.

Christ, man, did the writers of Lost fuck your wife and steal your lunch money or something?  Three fucking years later and you're still harping on this shit in, like, 75% of the posts you make here.  Lost explained a lot, either directly or indirectly.  It left some stuff up to imagination.  Fringe has as well -

The bomb was also "supposed" to go off - it interacted with the electromagnetic energy down in the hole where Juliet set it off and is what caused that hatch to be all about pushing the button to release the energy.  The energy discharge also sent the main cast back to their native time.  It wasn't explained, I guess,

Dr. Robuttnik, I love the idea that there was a chance his accident pictures might have been pleasing to the eye for you, like you were surprised they weren't in fact pleasing to the eye.
