I've got a running list of dangling plot threads and total non-explanations that rival "that other Bad Robot show," if you'd care to see it.  It's fine to like one show more than the other - I personally too prefer Fringe - but don't act like you're not giving Fringe more leeway because you like it better.

Sleeper99999 : I want to hear some Fringe rage, then, about some of its inexplicable plot points.  Because, though I love Fringe and literally pay for a basic cable package just so I can watch it every week, it does have its silly twists or inexplicable events.  Or is it okay that Fringe has those but not okay that

Jean-Luc Prickhard : again, the show didn't wave away the plotholes with "A wizard did it."  You think Fringe isn't doing some similar things?  And God and supernatural elements come up on Fringe too - that doesn't seem to be chipping away at your appreciation of the show.

THIS.  I don't care about someone else's opinion, but acting like the show forced them to watch it for 6 seasons or that people who liked the show must be stupid for it is egregiously asinine.  But, it's the nature of opinions on the Internet, I guess.

Yeah, but you're kind of just being an ass there, no offense.  That's like saying that all Christians believe that God is a guy who lives on a cloud.  It's just not the case.  They never said they were in "Heaven."  I'm an atheist, and even I was fine with the ending - it was a purgatory curtain call, a way for the

I don't care if people liked the Lost finale or not - to each their own, truly - but the thing that really *completely* bugs me is how often people feel the need to bring it up.  Lost was my favorite show, probably still is, and I thought the finale was amazing.  But even I don't think about it or bring it up nearly

For someone who doesn't like the show, you're sure spending a fucking huge amount of time commenting on it.  You're posting a comment to just about every single fucking post and reply here!

I hadn't thought of it that way.  I don't think I've seen Brooks in anything else other than American History X.  It makes sense, I guess.  Maybe it's a situational thing; as commander, he's dealing with a lot of shit.  Perhaps the in-character explanation is what you're saying, that he felt he had to be that was as

I always *loved* that IDIC - which seemed to be introduced to be this philosophical statement - turned out to be a big money merchandise grab by Roddenberry.

I only gave the show another shot due to it being reviewed here; Trek stopped with TNG for me.  But I ended up blowing through the series before the reviews started!  I'm happy to rewatch most of them as we go, save for several that - as "Much loved character" below alludes to - I don't care to see again.

I agree!  I wasn't sure how I felt about it, either, and there were certainly moments throughout the seven seasons that it lapsed into silly territory, but for the most part I really liked it.  I guess it depends on your tolerance to mysticism and spirituality in fiction too.  As an agnostic, I'm perfectly fine with

I completely agree.  It is a taste thing.  So much of it is subjective.  He led the show for 7 seasons.  That counts for a lot, I think.

Agree, Buckaroo!  I personally love Brooks.  Yes, he was on somewhat unsteady footing at first, but come on - almost all of them were unsteady at times.  *Maybe* Patrick Stewart was pretty good out of the gate and always stayed that way, but I'd put Brooks up there right behind Stewart.  He does go over the top a bit,

Apparently even being about four hours late to commenting after these things go up is almost too late; Four hours in and there were already almost 1000 posts!

Rich!  Tell us more about your ammonia cheese that kills people!

Yay, Zack!  I'm so excited!  I'm still hopped up on goofballs from this head cold and I've got to run to a job interview, but I wanted to say I'm so excited you're doing DS9!  Thanks, Zack!

Q.  In the shuttle.  With Corben Bernsen.

Darmok.  At Tanagra.  His arms wide.

Wesley, you're out of your element

Yeah, Emergence was pretty silly, but because it was Season 7, it was at least well executed.  The other ones were just bad ideas and very poorly executed.  I can sit through Emergency and at least kind of enjoy it; most of seasons 1 and 2 I really can't.
