I guess I should imdb them to find what they've directed, because I don't know who they are. You got me thinking Guillermo Del Toro directed a Doctor Who episode or something.

When did they get real movie directors? Who?
The average age of a Fox News viewer is over 60. They have to be repeatedly told what to think night after night so they remember who to hate this week. It's one reason I despise Fox News, the way they tell you what to think about a news story rather than just report what happened.
I love watching Al Jazeera America just for that global focus. Fox News can't report anything without an angle of "how does this mudslide in a tiny village in Nepal affect America?". That's why I stick to AJ for my news.
Disqus just causes problems all around doesn't it? The comment system logs me out after a few hours while the site stays logged in, so I periodically have to log out of AV Club and log back in to comment again, and the logging out takes you back to the AVC frontpage instead of keeping you on the page you were trying…
If identical twins had kids with identical twins, their kids would be genetically siblings instead of cousins. What a surreal thought. For that matter, identical twins having kids with the same person, the kids would also be siblings instead of cousins, genetically. Twins are cool.

I'm sure they could've fit in a The Parent Trap remake inbetween all those forgettable Direct-To-VHS movies they did in the late 90s. I remember It Takes Two though, the only one of those I actually saw.
Shyamalan only produced, not his usual writing/directing. It was after The Last Airbender had bombed and a studio forgot his name might be poison to attach to a movie with the intention of promoting it as good. I think it was called Sinister.
Potatoes…and molasses!
I thought the twist was obvious from trailers too. To me it evoked that Outer Limits episode where the guy from Airplane! had his head put on someone else's body and started getting memories of his new body's life and sought out that body's family and eventually formed a new family with them. I expect Self/Less to…
Give us your suggestions for biting meaty content for something on the theme of "Siblings Week". Maybe an image-less essay of some sort on actors who look like they could play siblings in a film? I didn't even read the words on any of these, just looking at the pictures and going "hm, they do look alike!", and off to…
Nothing will top Rick & Morty's Two Brothers bit:

On the other hand, there's Jeffrey Dean Morgan in Watchmen. I'm pretty sure that's the entire reason all of us compare him to Robert Downey Jr.
So I've been thinking lately on what happens when ties occur. A few weeks ago I saw a game where two people tied for second in Final Jeopardy and the third place prize went to the one with the lower score going into Final Jeopardy. So I'll ask who goes first in Double Jeopardy if there's a tie for second/last place…
The use of the word "agreement" threw me off the obvious. I don't usually consider a purchase to be an agreement. So instead I considered the Missouri Compromise before remembering that Missouri's territory was part of the Louisiana Purchase, then wondered about the 3/5th Compromise before just giving up on knowing…
I like how Jordan's hair is literally shaped like a baseball cap with the bill sticking out of the front. It takes the tradition of weird afros to a whole new level. Pack it up everyone, that hairdo won the game for all time.
I liked the back half of his Catelyn Jenner joke, about why it's not okay to call a girl Bruce. It wasn't biting humor, but it's the kind of question I wouldn't have thought of when it comes to Catelyn Jenner's transition. I like that kind of laid back questioning of things I've never questioned until a comedian…
Why did AVC send someone who doesn't care too much for The Strain to visit the set? It feels a little disconcerting as a fan who actually likes the show. It's like sending the guy who doesn't care for Star Wars to report on everything at Star Wars Celebration. He's just gonna put a damper on everything he reports on…
Ellar Coltrane and Lorelai Linklater don't look very alike in Boyhood. I didn't mind it because it was a fantastic movie, but it made you wonder if she was supposed to be a half-sibling or something, where Ethan Hawke wasn't her real dad. I get that she's Richard's daughter and she wanted to be in the movie, but she…
