The Brutalist Bricks
is one of the most underrated albums of the year. It got pretty mixed reviews, but I picked it up and it's fucking awesome.

Wildcard Charlie, I feel your hate for jam bands. Most of my friends are obsessed with jam band music, so I've been forced to hear a terrible amount of endless guitar noodling through my high school and college days. Moe, Railroad Earth, Dave Matthews, Strangefolk—they all make me want to puke. I need new friends.

I agree that there's been a drop in quality, but at least it doesn't stay the exact same every season, like Entourage or even The Office. Besides this, The Roots, and Gorillaz (if you want to count that as rap), it seems like rap hasn't had that many good releases this year—at least compared to the overall awesomeness that this year has given us so far. I admittedly don't follow rap all that closely, so am I wrong on this?
