Wow at all the reactions
I half enjoyed the first episode, but it pretty quickly became a "meh" in my memory and I didnt even bother watching last night (though I DVRed). You guys are saying we have potential for something special here? Because I'm not looking for any Big Bang crap or whatever.

Timeline and thoughts
I would say that I wouldnt definitely rank this episode below EP 2 and of course the pilot. Musical numbers are the heart of the show and they basically skipped em in this episode.

How long as avclub had a commenter "community". Looking in the history, it feels like its under 2 years old.

I want to say something: judging people's ability to critique based on their opinion about one movie here or there is asinine. Im just effing with Heisler here - but I do really hate Scrubs.

Sunset Boulevard, Double Indemnity, The Usual Suspects, Dude Where's My Car?, all just great flicks.
