Sometimes I try to talk myself into Idol conspiracys, but at the end of the day it makes zero sense for the producers to get involved in doing that. It's just unnecesary.

"Where's the cat? Where's the cradle?"
That line gives me chills. Good shit.

It looks like Lil is surrounded by giants.

"This is a horrible, horrible spectacle"
Between the lipsync where Matt missed his cue to start singing and the medley-from-hell, I found myself in a weird chicken and the egg scenario. That is, I love this show because I know 25 million other people are watching it and its just a bunch of crap. I would never watch it

Here is where I assume ZMF's age and that he might've been a few years too young to get into this game.

I do love Bret's honesty and the fact that he knows it's not cool to start bashing a movie pre-release that a lot of people (himself included) have spent a lot of time on. Not to imply he hated the final product, although I'm not convinced by this interview he doesn't.

You guys are making me think I should watch the entire season.

That was the most obvious part where it seeped through, but this must have been a difficult interview for Tobias.

The thing is, yummsh, if they can keep it succesful without it becoming more serialized, they obviously will. X-Files had value in syndication because it was based on stand-alone episodes. Lost is virtually worthless in syndication. I don't see them intentionally moving from a succesful episode format.

If Gokey Gets eliminated before the final 3, that actually would be pretty great as well.

Yeah I admit being really curious about what the deal with the bald guy was when I watched that bald-white-kid episode.

Have patience, Mosca.

Since I seem to be on this theme this morning
Is this show intended to be an epic serial, or more episode based?

How fucking awesome would it be
…if they got Christian Bale to play the Patrick Bateman guy in Lunar Park.

Or just watch it from here on out. What is nice about this show is that its episodic, but not about lawyers or police. You can watch it casually and still enjoy it.

Here is my problem
I want this show to be X-Files, because somewhere in my mind X-Files was an amazing show. In reality, X-Files had it's fair share of boring episodes and I never really loved it. It's not like Fringe is doing that badly when you match up the two.

Furthermore, Fringe barely has 3 main characters (with Torv establishing herself as the clear protagonist), whereas Lost has 20 or whatever. The shows are really entirely different.

Outside of the overlapping staffs, I don't see it as being a "Lost" replacement. There is one huge difference: one is a serial, the other episodic.

A few thoughts
Lil has officially made herself the most unlikeable finalist this season. WE DONT CARE that you think having fun is more important than the quality of your performance. Don't interrupt fucking Simon for that weak shit.

TomWaits… that is AWESOME. I want a David Lynch themed icon. Maybe the severed ear from Blue Velvet.
