I made carnitas and homemade tortillas for dinner on Sunday and then had a crazy pork salad with orange slices and god knows what else with the leftovers. I feel very accomplished.

Lemon Hart is super delicious.  I'm also partial to Flor De Caña's 12 year.

Genever is delicious, as is Old Tom Gin.  It makes me feel crazy posh/old-timey.

I've been Tennessee Honey to spike my tea after a bad day at work.  It's gross on it's own but it's perfect for that application.

We're going on a group date to see Die Hard.   It looks awful, but that should just make it more fun.

One would think, but I doubt it. I've heard some insulting things (third hand, of course) like "well, if I'm still out of work, she'll hire me back on to do clearances" on another of the projects we have in development.  This is a huge step down from being a legitimate producer, producing.

I usually make lobster thermidor for Valentine's day and put it over pasta.  Lobster (especially the previously frozen Maine lobster tails - I have serious problems with cooking live lobster), is always cheaper on/around Valentine's day.

I am still dreaming of the Firestone Parabola.  And their Black IPA.  God, I spent way too much of last weekend drunk.

I got it for Christmas.  AND IT IS AWESOME.  It is also remarkably heavy. They did not skimp on the card stock.

I was working with the DA's office on a project and was told that they were working on "dozens" of cases in LAUSD alone.  That said, the scale of abuse in the US is staggering and most of it happens within extended families.
