jay is wearing a yarmulke during the ecstasy sequence

sounds like a target commercial

considering this is nothing an actual gay person would consider homophobic, it's a good thing we have sean o'neal around to be offended on their behalf.

this movie would have been a lot better if sandra bullock had helped at least one poor black person achieve their true potential.

thanks for that link. i called bullshit on this dude as soon as realized he wasn't mentioning his soundexchange earnings. as an indie artists who enjoys some moderately good circulation on pandora, i know that they actually pay out a lot more than he was claiming to artists who get anywhere near that many listens.

…except he conveniently omitted his soundexchange statement which is probably for several thousand dollars. i don't even get any money from webcasting via ASCAP but i get hundreds of dollars a quarter from soundexchange - all from pandora.

i imagine vanderwerff typing his contentious comment replies with tears streaming down his face and it makes them even funnier.

sure, norbit was a big hit, but was it a good movie?

Thing that is obviously a joke: expecting the av club readership to have the reading comprehension skills to understand that this is a joke.

ohhhh HA HA HA! "sandwiches"!

seatbelt, duh!

the forced pg-13 was pretty annoying, and totally inappropriate for the story being told.

i'm fairly certain you're giving him way more credit than he deserves.

wow… as much as i adore dikachu for his creepily obsessive commenting at the av club, gene wilder isn't his property and he has no right to dis him for his personal option on a piece of culture he helped create and obviously cares about.

yes, it's totally not retarded to compare the succession of presidential power and the etiquette that goes along with it to shitty reboots of classic films. good point.

skip both and punch yourself in the dick instead

just saw the movie and it actually does! the abrupt change in film stock makes it really pop, and when jaden points off screen and says "look, buffalo!" he really sells it.

i don't think you know what "stock footage" is

the season has definitely been growing on me the more i watch it. now, almost done watching all of them, i'm kind of amazed at how they structured it and how good its getting. it really doesn't become fully apparent just how detailed it is until at least half way through (for me at least). i'm actually excited to
