I'm going through an "animation MWOF" on my own time, because I find it fascinating in a odd way. I'm almost done with Swat Kats, which is mostly bad save one or two episodes. I finished The Wuzzles, which was cheesy but deliciously animated. Also did Dog City and Recess and planning on Hey Arnold next. (They weren't

Easter Yeggs is by far my favorite Bugs Bunny cartoon, by the criminally underrated Robert McKimson. Bugs both wins AND loses, by going through a series of emotional changes that turn Bugs into an actual character. Also, it's fucking funny.

Part of me thinks that TLTS is so subdued because of the disappointing returns on Back in Action. I figure that they felt "wacky" was what caused the movie to fail (which wasn't the problem at all - it was just structurally a bad film). So they did "sitcom" without having any fun with it. The few times it DOES get

Most kids toons are bought in 2-3 season chunks, so it's actually a big deal if it hits 4 seasons or more.

House of Mouse was surprisingly great - I only caught 3 eps when it was on rotation on Toon Disney (before it became XD). The shorts more or less are available on Youtube now.

Stretching it, but Regular Show is pretty blue collar, although it's more metaphorical.

Thanks! I'll have to give a watch when I can.

CRAZY. I actually just finished watching the FOX series Dog City, where they recycled the puppets from that Dog City and blended it with an animated segment. It's actually pretty good, at least until the 2nd season. Not nearly as serious though. Where'd you find the DVD? I'm curious to check it out.

I was lukewarm with SBT. I think the pilot turned me off; it was a quite a bit of exposition in the early scenes within the forest, then it cut to their homeworld and essentially told the same exact plot points. It was a disappointed waste of time.

There were some aliens and monsters that spewed colored blood, but that was semi-rare.
