I can't disagree with that. Like I said, it's not perfect, but it's getting there. At least we're finally away from "pac-man/Mario Bros./Galaga" noises and sound effects.

The NEW-new thing is to sell them to the black market/terrorist groups, which is what 2 of the 3 Uncharted games were about.

And now for my semi-frequent Gravity Falls list recap!

Scary mainly because of the minimal sound design. No wacky sound effect or egregiously goofy voices. It's so odd.

I'll stand up for Mr. Wendel. Sure, it's misguided in it's lyrics - essentially the Magical Negro trope in song form - but goddammit, I LOVE LOVE LOVE that beat. It's so simple in its catchiness and Speech raps to it perfectly. I would actually argue that its dance-ablility is what made it an MTV hit, because, let's

That's fine, I didn't mean to imply any Luddite-type claims. I guess I just was concerned with the idea behind "shot with a camera" as, essentially, a truism, or a basic tenet. Like I said, there's definitely problems with digital, but I'm okay if "film" is defined as "space in front of a camera" for an ideological

Don't get me wrong, I had my issues with him too, but it seems like RTD straight up murdered Who according to some folks around here, and I personally had a lot more issues with Moffat (at least until this season, so far).

But see, @avclub-e53fc2424af041d07a7eef5cd8773505:disqus , both Moffat and RTD would reuse tropes all the time - so I can't really find fault with that. I actually find the bizarre RTD backlash unfair and completely unwarranted. The only real problem he had was anything resembling romance or budding romance.
