Cheap cartoons are more or less bought over from Canada. There's not a lot of "cheap" toons beyond that, although it would depend on how you'd define cheap.

Do you mean the network? The Hub is 50% awful and 50% awesome. It depends on how young the audience the show's intended for. Strawberry Shortcake and Rescue Bots are lame, but MLP and Pound Puppies are pretty good.

What RS said - I just gave it a quick look, it's not bad at all. It's cute and simple fun, and the voices of the puppets are kinda well done.

I'm kinda upset that Welcome Freshmen doesn't hold up, even in a "so shitty it's good" kinda way. Not even the principle and his psychotic standup routine to essentially no one? No way that's terrible.

Johnny Quest - both versions - is a show that seems like it should be MUCH more awesome than it actually is. There's a lot of pulp excitement in theory, but there's really nothing else to them. And Johnny would actually rarely be involved.

Truth. When I was told my father passed away, the 3 hour block after that is completely blank. I remember… uh, vacuuming, for some reason. That's it. Trauma destroys your memory.

Total Recall kinda gets a bum rap. It's a terrible game, but it's not egregiously terrible. It's more or less worthless. I beat it though.
@avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus Along with those reasons, two other problematic criticisms can be attached to Great Man theory (as well as auteur theory):
I definitely have been leaning on JGL being somewhat-to-completely unnecessary to the film, or at least someone that Gordon could have done just fine. We definitely didn't need that end-throwaway-Robin bit or really for him to take up the mantle.
The "Randian" problem with the Incredibles has less to do with the overall film but with the initial set-up. What people don't seem to want to acknowledge is that the whole premise to get superheros to suppress their powers is, well, kinda bullshit and shittily portrayed. (You broke your neck during a rescue and…
This is an amazing point, and something I haven't really thought about until TDKR.
