The PJs, like Home Movies, just was for an audience that wasn't really there. It's not a bad show at all, but probably was better suited for the WB at the time.

Yeah - I'd argue the entire decade was a golden age of animation, especially if you remove that innocuous "for adults" concept (seriously, this needs to die). Disney, WB, Saturday morning, Nicktoons, the birth of CN, the beginning of the influx of anime - and a good chunk of it was really, really good.
