@avclub-a452630477eb936fd36fc9a9542d4598:disqus I just recently found out that Katey Segal had previous VO work, a bit limited, in the show Recess. She definitely has history in the booth.

Ice Age just doesn't have great core characters. They're so one note. And that boring color palette? Ugh. The voice actors are probably contracted for X number of films and since the character models are already created, this is probably just easy money for everyone, combined with global box office business. I should note that DW really did stop that trend (they stopped a lot of trends) since Rise of the Guardians seem to lack that name nonsense. Over the Hedge, Puss in Boots, and even the Madagascar films totally cooled it with the GIANT NAME RECOGNITION gimmick.

I could count on one hand the number of famous actors who did decent VO work. Surprisingly, Shia LaBouf did a pretty good job in Surf's Up. Jeremy Irons was fine as Scar, Nathan Lane was good as Timon. Vincent Prince as Ratigan. I'm hesitant to say Sasha Cohen is good as King Julian because the character is written…

What's odd is how when Legion Lost first dropped, people seemed to hate it, but I honestly thought it was the best comic of the entire 52. Fun, exciting, tongue-in-cheek, and demanded you keep up. I forget who said it, but there's that quote about comics being more about wanting to pick up the next issue instead of…

I'm looking forward to it too. It's just odd that once it season finale hits, it seems like everyone forgets it exists.

Oh, hey! That's right. Boardwalk Empire is still a thing.

Had the feeling when Rodney Dangerfield died. What was weird was he appeared as a guest star on MadTV, like, a month before, and he looked great for his age. I was really surprised to here about his passing. And same for Borgnine, who was still doing voices for Spongebob. Very surprising, very sad.
