Had the feeling when Rodney Dangerfield died. What was weird was he appeared as a guest star on MadTV, like, a month before, and he looked great for his age. I was really surprised to here about his passing. And same for Borgnine, who was still doing voices for Spongebob. Very surprising, very sad.

Seriously, Gravity Falls is great, and it's rare for a cartoon to start off so excellently. Also, it's surprisingly dark - all the creatures they meet try to straight-up kill the kids, instead of capturing them or some such vanilla nonsense.

A bit personal but Buddhism/Daoism pretty much saved my life, metaphorically. Well, I should say Eastern philosophical thought since I'm neither a Buddhist or a Daoist, but rethinking my life in Eastern terms instead of Western terms helped me get through a terrible, depressing college.

The 3rd episode of Gravity Falls had wax figures come alive. They're not quite animatronics, but they did directly try to kill the children, which was quite different for a children's show.
