Yeah, PB isn't evil - she's just really ambitious and doesn't necessarily follow strict cartoon-damsel paradigms. She has a dark side, but it's in good faith. In fact, all the women in this show has a dark side, once you think about it.

P&F is definitely an inspired show, and is great to watch when there's nothing around. New episodes appear on Netflix like a month after they air.

I have to keep pushing this, but the Penguins of Madagascar is seriously a great show. It's hard to get into though, for reasons that's really, really hard to explain. It's gleefully ridiculous and self-aware, never bothers with lessons of ANY sort, and kinda just goes with whatever plot they cook up. The various

Recess holds up so well, and it's even better on rewatch. Disney had a solid batch of animation, both in the mornings and in the afternoon.

I reviewed CatDog on my blog a while back. It's… just way off. It's not bad, but for such a weird premise and weird ass world they created, they made such a boring set of characters and recycled the same plots over and over again. There's a story about how Nick forced new episodes every day vs. weekly new eps, which

Great moment. I think Paul Germain has a very… depressing view of life. Or, rather, pessimistic. It's evident here and alot more in Hey Arnold, but there's pieces of it in Rugrats and even Pound Puppies. The parents find a connecting thread in caring for their babies, but they seem to be always fighting or on edge

The Angry Beaver issue was originally over a conflict where Norbert tells Dag to shut up, which was a no-no in Nick's book at the time. The episode you're referring to was in response to that kind of executive interference, which wasn't aired because, well, it's not exactly subtle. Nick conflicted with lots of shows -

I'd love to talk about Kids WB - although they pretty much started importing dubbed anime pretty soon after Jackie Chan Adventures, and there are plenty of anime boards out there to talk about that.

YES. I definitely wanted to bring this up, and I was looking for those shorts and forgot who that animator was. Very surreal and experimental stuff, but the play with angles and movement was oddly appealing. Really great style in playing with unique perspectives, like babies or monsters.

Yeah, Fairly Oddparents is way past its date, but was quite funny early on. Probably up until the High School Musical movie and prior to the birth of Poof. You'll be delighted (horrified) to know that Butch Hartman comes from the same place as Seth MacFarlane; both hail from Johnny Bravo.

Thanks again for the shout-out, Todd. I wouldn't quite say I'm an animation blogger (I try and discuss the full range of entertainment as best I can) and I'm not quite an "expert" - I just enjoy thinking about cartoons a tad bit more than is probably healthy.

There should be a shitty-council-member tumblr account, where people post pictures of Tarrlok saying stupid, ridiculous requests, followed by the picture of the council voting yes every time.
