She's hot and… something is kind of "off" about her. Great comic timing - not always easy for the "hot girl"

I always thought the Mindy sloppiness was endearing. Super strong guest stars and stunt casting. Mindy (the real and the eponymous) is so strong as a person/character, she can take on the sloppy and still shine. Heartbroken that it was canceled!

I THINK Schmidt was meant just to be a womanizing dick, at first. But damn if Max Greenfleld isn't so loaded with talent, dramatic and comedic, that he transcended the creators' original intent. Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does, it's great.

Can't compare to Always Sunny. Sunny is a cross between Seinfeld DARK and Looney Toons. New Girl is it's own beast (with a healthy mix of DNA from Friends)

Your loss. 22 damn episodes a year? That's TWICE as much as "prestige" network shows pump out. They can't all be brilliant. But they ARE all funny.

Nah. She's just too close to it. She has a lot more at stake as the creator/writer than any of us have.

Well, dammit, thanks for keeping up with a great show! The fans, and the other viewers, trust you to do right by the very strong characters and the best ensemble cast chemistry since "Friends."

I think we also have to mention the great sendoff to Fawn. Zoe Lister Jones has come really far from "Whitney." Like Rhea Seehorn in "Better Call Saul," she's shown real talent when given top shelf material.

Really great point. It's nice, and RARE, when the showrunners can have such a trusting relationship with fans/viewers through great writing and acting.
