Oh yeah, it's the Georgia resident scholarship program. It's honestly an incredibly flawed system, and is responsible for some real problems in the college program, but it would have covered my schooling if I'd gotten a 3.0.

Skipped a week of classes to watch all four seasons of Breaking Bad.

@avclub-bc3e14e2ab565f7787d753233df681d1:disqus Like I said, I feel like a lot of the truly interesting thematic stuff was lifted straight from "Preacher" and "Hellblazer," only made more simplistic because it's a network television show. So they can't for example, kill God, so they make a bad angel instead and push…

@avclub-c2ef3728d9ce090652f36c2e3d4783d0:disqus I think my biggest problem with Supernatural is that it doesn't seem to have anything at its core. It's fun, but it's focused on plot above all else. There's no great character arcs or anything, no thematic depth. And so much of the metaplot comes off of 90's Vertigo…

@avclub-c2ef3728d9ce090652f36c2e3d4783d0:disqus Yeah, Restless could give The Body a fight, but I feel like it relys too much on knowledge of the characters to be a standalone great. It's an accomplishment, and probably top two for me, but I think The Body manages to be stronger.

If we're talking best Buffy's, it's gotta be The Body in a walk. And that might well be my pick for all-time best. Chock-full of symbolism, emotion, and character work, and without the last two minutes, (which I like, but do force the show into a different mode) it could be a standalone short film about the loss of a…

@avclub-91546109eaf110327d50b0955865712a:disqus Haha, yeah. Not sure why - probably some sermon or other that Nickelodeon was corrupting children. When you're a kid, you don't question these things. Means that nowadays, somebody starts humming the Doug theme song and I just go blank. Complete mystery.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's the point at which I started tuning out (although I originally started watching for Pokemon and Digimon, so the anime connection was there.)
The fact that no one is discussing Kids WB makes me feel as if my youth was wasted.
Well, I think the biggest difference between this and Veep (admitting here that I've only watched two episodes of Veep before deciding it wasn't for me) is that this is much less of a comedy and much more of a drama. I feel like the marketing did it a disservice by attempting to show it as a funny show, and I feel…

As I understand it, Shoshanna wasn't even supposed to be a regular- they just liked Mamet so much that they made her one. So I doubt Dunham came up with a first-season character arc for her like she obviously has the others. I expect more out of her next year.
