That was magnificent.

Yeah, sorry, I just get annoyed at people expecting these characters to be perfect. Went a little over the top.

It's Hannah, then Shoshanna, but I get what you're saying. I know (and have dated) quite a few girls like Shoshanna before, and I've never gotten the impression of her being cartoonish like people say. She just seems sheltered. I kind of wish they'd make her a little raunchier, though; a lot of girls like that seem to

Look, I'm 21, and some of these characters and their decisions annoy me, too. But y'know what? They're young. They're lost in a world that they can't find a way to fit into, they have no idea what to do with their lives even as their peers seem to fly along into adulthood, they can barely pay their rent… they're going

…oh. Well then.

@avclub-1881baeccb7399f3452cd7f37cdb2b29:disqus Yeah, drama queen sounds about right. goes along with her drawing out all this stuff with Charlie rather than just breaking up with him like an adult.

I think he showed up in Alias as a crazy guy robbing jewelry stores because he thought they were Infinity Gems.

@avclub-1881baeccb7399f3452cd7f37cdb2b29:disqus Do you think we're going to see art guy again? I think there's a decent chance that he was just there to serve as a comparison to Charlie. Since the guys on this show really feel more like arguments than characters, I think that he was just there to show what Marnie

I mean, it did sound weird, but from that Salon bit it feels like that's something that actually happened to Dunham, so it was something someone really said.

I really thought Marnie was laughing at Hannah and trying to cover, but that shift to her actually tearing up and sad felt very strange.

Wait, was Baggage supposed to be hosted by Jerry Springer? I missed that!

Not quite as strong as last week for me, but I still really enjoyed it. Hannah's stuff was fantastic tonight - it's obvious that Dunham has a stronger grasp on Hannah than any of the other characters, and so her scenes really have a lot more pop to them than Marnie's or Jessa's. Adam was actually likeable tonight -

It's buried in a very serious post about Trayvon Martin, so it feels weird to be linking that, but just do a find.

@avclub-1881baeccb7399f3452cd7f37cdb2b29:disqus Did you see where David Simon called Buffy the best TV drama of the last twenty years? That was awesome.

@drlivingstone Hooray! First Internet ever. My journey towards world domination takes another step forward.

Said it above, but really disliked it - it felt flat and the tone was all off. And the parody was so hyperspecific that I got very little out of it.

Oh, that's a really good one. Except I waited until the show went off the air to watch it.

@avclub-0beb34df7e9615cd43b9090989ca4848:disqus Alright, yeah, I'm making a kneejerk thing, but I know I don't like procedurals, or crime shows, or shows with limited continuity. So unless I suddenly see an enourmous amount of critical praise for the show, I'm probably gonna pass.

Hmm, was he the guy with the worms in his stomach? Or was that the guy from the first season that got killed and came back?

Mmmm… So I'm told, I believe so, and we live in hope.
